Built because the buyer-side problem was always the same.
Data 85 is run by a single operator with a background split across operations, finance, and the BI-adjacent end of consulting — the side where the spreadsheet is the product and the buyer still has to make a call after reading it. Recent engagements cluster around pre-Series-A operators, founder-led P&L closes, and small ops teams inheriting an inherited report.
The studio exists because the same shape kept showing up: a messy spreadsheet blocking a buy / ship / don’t-ship decision, and the founder kept losing hours to data handholding instead of the decision itself. - 03The deliverable goes visible
A before-and-after passes back to you, usually within a single calendar week, so the output is on the record before anything else happens. Revisions are part of the row, not a separate invoice. See sample work →
- 04Repeat or hand off
Files in, decisions out. When the format locks in, the engagement moves to a recurring cadence — weekly or monthly. When the question is answered, the file and the deliverable hand off cleanly.
